I "Noureen Noor" newly appointed HM at GBPS Future Colony.
As we all know that everyone has to face new challenges at a new journey. Same like that I had so many problems when I joined such as punctuality, discipline, short attendance, community involvement, motivation, charging money, lack of interest etc.
In a first week, I identified that teachers thought that everything is impossible to do. I convinced them that "Nothing is impossible, even the word impossible says that I Am Possible."
I conducted meetings in which I realised them that I am nothing without you. We can do any thing if we are joint. We have to work as a team. I need your support to achieve our goal of "Model School".
I realised them their importance, their identity, their strengths & work with them & appreciate them at a little performance.
After that, I start working as a Mentor. I called several meetings, motivate & encourage them toward their responsibilities & duties.
First, I tried to make myself a model for them.
I come on time then my staff started coming on time. I have a shortage of teachers. I started taking classes & overcome this issue. Then my staff start taking classes on time with full interest. Before that, they were taking classes just passing time or show their presence in a classrooms as a dummy.
Now, School starts on time & ends on time. All teachers are following time table & left school on time.
No one is taking money against giving text book, or at atime of admission, examination or report cards. Students increase their participation in curricular & co curricular activities. No student left school during break. Students attendance improved.
ECE class will prepare soon.
There is no short leave concept.
Students are learning with practical activities.
First time, 14 aug function celebrated in a true manner.
In the end of aug 2017, I have 25 new enrolled students.
Now, I feel happy when parents come & said that your presence is showing changes in this school. Our children come school with their own will. Some parents offered me to participate in school improvement activities.
