FAR FROM SUCCESS

I am Shabeena Chaudhry, newly appointed H.M in GBPS Qasim.ul.Uloom Orangi Town Sector 11.
When I took charge in my school I faced a terrible situation there and still facing so many hurdles created by the N.G.O and their favourers.
Ex H.M and 03 Govt Teachers were in their strict control.
They were working there since 2010, although their contract was finished in 2013. They did not make renewal of their contract and forcibly applying their illegal rules there.
I made Govt Staff free from N.G.O ' s control and now they are doing their duty confidently.
They were interrupting in admission process but I strictly forbade them to interrupt in my duties and confidently made admissions. In this month I got 15 more admissions.
They were running illegal afternoon shift without permission of Edu Dept,,, I opposed their illegal step and finally they finished their illegal afternoon shift. But I favoured the enrolled pupils of afternoon and gave them admission in morning shift. So, this way I got about 200 admissions at a time in morning shift.
Their teachers were non qualified and untrained and were teaching in our primary classes. They did not use to pay attention towards pupils. I observed them full month and reported to N.G.O ' s Secretary about their poor performance. I  assesed pupils' copies and came to know that the teachers did not make fair corrections. I took just one test of urdu in class 5th,,, there were two questions ; 1. Ap ka naam kya hai? 2. Ap k walid ka naam kya hai? I was shocked to see their answers. Only two or three students out of 45 students wrote correct answer of question 2. It was a serious threat to pupuls' performance that they can not write their father name correctly.
They used to give corporal punishments to pupils on the name of discipline but I stopped them to do so.
N.G.O ' s secretary used to misbehave with me from the first day of joining, many times he gave me threats. But I remained firm and performed my duties honestly. Even on the 1st day he said me to leave the office but I confidently told him that Govt of Sindh has appointed me here as gazetted H.M to work for the cause of education, I won't leave the office. He shouted that I will make your transfer from here. But now you can see that I am still here on my seat.
 On 06th Sep, they forcibly locked the school and announced holiday for pupils, I took quick action and went to D.E.O office with my staff. Submitted the detailed observation report of month of Aug and the report of locking the school forcibly on 06th Sep.
D.E.O Sb Mr. Siraj.ud.Din is really a cooperative person and dabang officer. He called the staff of T.E.O in his office and asked the history of N.G.O' s working in my school.
T.E.O Sb Mr. Hassan Raza told the circumstances and submitted the case with the suggestion to remove the N.G.O from school.
D.E.O Sb called the meeting with N.G.O ' s Secretary and firmly said him to vacant the school, he got agreed to vacant the school.
I made meetings with D.E.O Sb on daily basis to solve my case. D.E.O Sb really cooperated with me a lot. He supported me a lot. And now, he is going to send more staff for my school.
My Govt staff suffered a lot and they used to pray for freedom for three years and now they are happy with me and say that Basti me Hero aa gaya hai hahaha.
N.G.O used to make school closed on every saturday for seven years like a private system but now on this Sat, 16th Sep, 2017 I made my school open and there was good strength of pupils. It is a great success, community appreciated me a lot.
I still think that I am far from success because my school is yet not completely free from N.G.O ' s influence. I am in love with my school and I will work for my school freedom till my last breath. In sha ALLAH PAAK it will be free very soon.

I am Saher Un Nisa, a newly recruited H.M.IBA Sukker, working at GGPS Orangi 5 SEMIES Code 408020034.The vision of my school is' to become life longer learner & and contribute to the global world.

When I have entered the school with my vision all staff members welcome me with warm-hearted.

The school was running smoothly but some issues, hurdle, and conflicts over there.

I developed my School Development Plan and set my priorities & start the work.Now 

AL-HAMDULILLAH I succeed   &  have achieved some of them.

Now school library has been functionalized.


  • 65% students have been regular
  • Assembly presentation  properly held
  • 30% parents attended PTM
  • I functionalized my office

but I am not satisfied cleanliness.I m trying to my best to arrange the sweeper & to solve all issues.INSHALLAH, I will achieve my targets very soon.

Story of struggle tiĺl death.
I am newly recruited H. M  Ms Nargis . I have appointed at GBPS CHAKRA Goth K.T.S.NO 21 SEMIS code 408110088 Korangi town karachi.
This isn't my success story because star of my success is so far till that day , every child of my beloved country will be in school & literate.
* I tried to punctual my staff,99% are punctual now.
* First time in history of my school,time table has been followed.
* I have started  co curriculum  activities in my school. (Games, debates, Qirat and Naat, art work e.t.c)
* I have maintained all records.
* I have started work for ECE. In shaa Allah very soon you all people will see my perfect ECE class without any departmental help.
* I have planned a library for enhancing reading skills in my children. (Have purchased books but few tables are remaining to arrange )
* I have completed my work for scheme  of studies, planning and planners for class I.
* I have started urdu & English  reading , writing & dictation periods in my all classes  (I-v).
And I am rechecking at least 5 copies of each class daily.
* I have started work for cleaning but still unsatisfactory due to shortage of non teaching staff. (Sweeper, chowkidar e.t.c )
* I have enrolled 20+ students till today.
* We have celebrated 14th August with great enthusiasm and have planned to conduct quiz compilation on 6th September .
* I need to work hard for achieving my targets. I am still struggling and will struggle, struggle & struggle for best.

when i first time visited my school i was shocked to see my school  condition school was in worst condition . There were no arrangement of anything No staff room No h.m office teachers and incharge are used to sit in corridor with their chair and call students for giving class work no one went to go in class for lesson demonstration. After seeing this i took the following steps
1. I arranged sweeper to clean whole school building
2.set up of h.m office
3.set up of staff room
4.i made time table and following by teacher fromm class 1 to 5
5.assigned duties to all staff members
6.total 8 new std enrolled in ECE class
7.prepare scheme of study of all subject of class one
8.maintained all necessary documents
9.vanished concept of short leave
10 .motivate staff to own their school and students
There are 2 more school in my building first time we all celebrated 14th august program under my leadership their staff is  very cooperative .

As we all know that everyone has to face new challenges at a new journey. Same like that I had so many problems when I joined such as punctuality, discipline, short attendance, community involvement, motivation, charging money, lack of interest etc.
In a first week, I identified that teachers thought that everything is impossible to do. I convinced them that "Nothing is impossible, even the word impossible says that I Am Possible."

 I conducted meetings in which I realised them that I  am nothing without you. We can do any thing if we are joint. We have to work as a team. I need your support to achieve our goal of "Model School".

I realised them their importance, their identity, their strengths & work with them & appreciate them at a little performance.

After that, I start working as a Mentor. I called several meetings, motivate & encourage them toward their responsibilities & duties.

First, I tried to make myself a model for them.
I come on time then my staff started coming on time. I have a shortage of teachers. I started taking classes & overcome this issue. Then my staff start taking classes on time with full interest. Before that, they were taking classes just passing time or show their presence in a classrooms as a dummy.
Now, School starts on time & ends on time. All teachers are following time table & left school on time.
No one is taking money against giving text book, or at atime of admission, examination or report cards. Students increase their participation in curricular & co curricular activities. No student left school during break. Students attendance improved.
ECE class will prepare soon.
There is no short leave concept.
Students are learning with practical activities.
First time, 14 aug function celebrated in a true manner.
In the end of aug 2017, I have 25 new enrolled students.
Now, I feel happy when parents come & said that your presence is showing changes in this school. Our children come school with their own will. Some parents offered me to participate in school improvement activities.

A success story I am saima khalil newly appointed HM at GGPS University campus when I went to my school there were many serious issues such as low enrollment , drop out, taking money for every things from students( for admission, report cards even for books) short of attandance, no punctuality,less involvment of cummunity, lack of motivation in teacher lack of leadership firstly I observe what are actual issue then with in two days i realiz actuall issue of school is grouping between teachers and worest leadership no one want to sit with other group. Then I start working as mentor I call meetings formal and informal both, motivat them toward their duities after that I take step to utiliz my resources to make school better place for student, I went to karachi university and asked diffrent departments for volintear work and I successed and faculty of education under which three department was runing start working in my school in diffrent area as decoration of classes, training of teacher, assesment of students, and providing learning goods.At same time I am woring in diffrent dimention first time our school celibrated 14 August at big level when nearest schools look our progress they also show intrest to celibrat independence day with my school, in this why first time five schools celibrated 14th august in my leadership.When my DDO saw my role in school she give me musted roll of three more school and said take their responsibilities also.Now in this week I call SMC meeting and said to parents play their role for school's development and for all these I have not taken any rupee from any child or parents I just mobiliez teachers and university students and now community members donated 5 fans for my school.Next moth 40 university studnts come to my school for teaching practice.My aim is to make my school a model  school and I know it will be model school soon.36 admission 5 dropout recovery

It was really an amazing moment I cannot forget yes it was Closing ceremony of newly appointed Head Masters/Head Mistress their completion of 14days induction training on 27 July 2017 @ GECE Qasimabad Karachi.
 It was very tremendous day in my life because I got unforgettable positive reception from trainees (HMs). At the moment of certification to Master trainers when   my name called as for Master trainer certificate I welcomed  unexpected non stop round of applause for 4-5 minutes at that instant secretary school education Abdul Aziz Uqaili  asked me that what is a reason why such round of applause ? Did you teach to hm or not? I replied that sir you can asked so during the speech secretary sb asked to HMs what was the reason why you people gave a great appreciation to only one master trainer? tell me one by one and secretary sb got answered 3-4 trainees.
 It was brilliant reflection for me and that time because of my performance as motivator and an excellent master trainer secretary school education Mr.A.Aziz Uqaili announced and directed me that I (Zulfiqar Behan) will guide monitor and coordinate to all newly appointed HMs of Karachi.

It was Just film scene I really enjoyed and thanked to God and all my well-wishers.

Successfully completed the14 days inductions 
training of newly appointed IBA pass Head Masters   @ GECE Qasimabad Karachi centre.
No doubt It was challenging but with team work finally we succeeded Alhamdulillah.

However the secretary congratulated new head masters for completing non-stop training of 14 days, including Saturdays and Sundays. He said this was an important milestone for you because it will provide you an opportunity to take charge of schools and increase enrolment.
He said recruitment process of HMs was pending since the past 14 months. He said we all know the level of public sector education and that’s so because there is a serious crisis of leadership at the school level.

He said we will go for the second round of recruitment as well.

The secretary said that we have highest hope in you that you will regain the past glory of public sector school system. He said children look towards you for education. He said new HMs will be given monthly salary equal to 17 grade officers. He said no transfer request of newly-inducted HMs will be entertained unless needed by the government.

He announced that any head master who increased enrollment significantly in a year will be rewarded.
It may be mentioned that the government of Sindh had recruited 1,018 headmasters and headmistresses from across the province. Of them 254 are female and 764 male.
The training of 54 master trainers (13 female and 41 male) was conducted from July 8 to 12, including Saturday and Sunday at SZABIT.

In this connection, the department had established six regional training centres in Karachi, Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, Larkana and Mirpur Khas. Total 997 head masters appeared for induction trainings and the rest of them abstained.

The induction training of 997 HMs was conducted from July 14 to 27, including Saturdays and Sundays.
The trainings of new school heads are aimed at enhancing their professional standards.
The government has introduced several reform programmes. One such reform is introduction of School Management Cadre at division, district and school levels and the training of school heads is part of that initiative.
The new school heads underwent essential and rigorous training course devised by the department. Both the trainings were carefully planned to make use of summer vacation so that teaching/learning time of students should not be disturbed.

-->Discussed the differences among curriculum,syllabus and course.

Second session

History of curriculum and terminologies of curriculum(standards,Benchmark,SLO,syllabus,course,textbook,content).
Furthermore discussion on scheme of studies and then  in groups analyze that either the course books are alligned according to National curriculum or not of grade V.

3rd SESSION
MT:Sir Zulfiqar

Group activity,observe three chapters of different subjects like science ,maths,social studies and english.Matched the SLO's of chapters with the SLO's given in national curriculum and try to find out if course books SLO's are not according to Standard SLO's and prepared list of them.
Observing the curriculum as a expert was a good experience.learnt how we can give a better and complete knowledge by following scheme of studies .
